The landmark symposium ‘Social Sector Action Plan 2007’ was the culmination of several years of dedicated work done by the LUMS academia and students, development sector personnel, society leaders, economists, government functionaries and donor agencies. SEDC at LUMS played a pivotal role in bringing together more than 250 participants from a wide spectrum of stakeholders in the development sector. Donor organizations such as Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), USAID, CITI Foundation and J.E. Austin participated in panel discussions to look into the scope of funding social development programmes in Pakistan.
