Graduates from the Class of 2019 reminisced their LUMS journey at their first alumni reunion held at a popular bowling alley on Friday, June 28, 2019. They exchanged stories about their time together at the University and shared experiences from their post-graduation life with peers.
Despite the short time since graduation this year, a number of students from the class of 2019 attended the event. It was a short but fun-filled event where the alumni took pictures and played an exciting game of bowling. In addition to enjoying the game, the reunion included an introduction and orientation of the Office of Alumni Relations as well as the Class of 2019 representative elections. They had a fantastic time discussing different ideas and themes for future reunions and chatting about how to be more active in initiating and taking part in similar alumni events. Many ideas were shared on how to make these get-togethers more fun and productive
The elections were a lively affair. Efra Farah Usmani, BS Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE); M. Jawad Khan and Ahmad Hamza, MS SBASSE; Waqas Haider, BSc Suleman Dawood School of Business and Tehneiat Amjad Butt, BSc Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, were elected as representatives for the programmes respectively.
The exciting activities were followed by a pizza party followed by the alumni posing for a group photo. Saying farewell was difficult for everyone but Alumni Relations, through the many activities and events it organises, will undoubtedly provide them with ample opportunities to stay connected.
